Our Family Tree features shine a spotlight on the extended musical universe of an artist and all of their related side projects / solo projects (so far we’ve covered Slint, Vivian Girls, Matmos, Pedro The Lion and Talking Heads.) We also occasionally take a very deep dive on a specific genre and trace the entire history of the genre, from its roots / architects to modern day acolytes — so far we’ve tackled shoegaze and freak folk. We also love to offer up special playlists for holidays & seasons, and special events like the 50th anniversary of hip hop.
